Luke Littler has experienced a big rise to fame in the world of darts since making his explosive debut at Alexandra Palace last December. At just 17 years old, Littler has already become one of the most sought-after players on the exhibition circuit.
However, despite his newfound popularity, Littler hasn’t yet participated in any exhibition events.
Before his debut exhibition in Wales, he shared his excitement about meeting with fans during an interview with Polly James.
I’m just looking forward to it! The people have paid their money to see us.
Said the 2024 World Darts Championship finalist and 2024 Premier League Darts winner via Instagram.
Not many people get a chance, so I’m just going to have some fun tonight, do some crazy checkouts on the board, and see how they like it.
Joining Littler at the Welsh exhibition was the nation’s top dart player, Gerwyn Price, with whom Littler is beginning to develop a rivalry. Reflecting on their recent match in the final of the Australian Darts Masters, Littler said with a laugh.
Me and Gezzy, it’s definitely a rivalry. I’ve been good made a lot of rivalries this year since I burst onto the scene, and I like having that with someone.
No trip to Wales is complete without sampling the local delicacies, and Littler was introduced to one such treat before his exhibition debut.
Polly James offered him a Welsh Cake, a traditional sweet treat in Wales. When asked if he wanted to try one, Littler smiled and politely declined, saying, “Nah, I’m alright.”
Littler’s journey in darts continues to captivate fans, and his debut on the exhibition circuit marks another milestone in what promises to be a remarkable career.
