Mike de Decker Shocks Gary Anderson with Dominant

Mike de Decker has made a huge breakthrough at the World Grand Prix, reaching the quarter-finals with an impressive 3-0 win over darts legend Gary Anderson. This marks De Decker’s first time making it to the last eight of a major tournament, and he did it in style.

Earlier in the tournament, De Decker had already caused a stir by beating world number six Damon Heta in a sudden-death leg. Anderson, ranked 24th, was the next big name to fall to the Belgian, as De Decker delivered a solid performance with an average of 95.74 and a 60% finishing rate.

De Decker started strong, taking the first leg with a 13-darter and sealing the first set 3-0 after Anderson missed a chance to finish. In the second set, Anderson finally got on the board, but De Decker held his nerve, finishing with a 120 checkout to win the set.

The third set saw De Decker hit a brilliant 160 finish before wrapping up the match with a 12-darter, securing his place in the quarter-finals. Next, he will face either Gerwyn Price or James Wade at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester.

De Decker is quickly proving he’s “The Real Deal.”
